In 1979 after serving as a missionary in Christian Ministry with his wife Datha, prayerfully made a decision to become bi-vocational and become active in the financial and insurance industry so they could support ministry to small churches that could not afford full time ministers. This path of service has been fulfilling both spiritually and financially for them. Brooks Insurance Professionals, Inc. was purchased by the Dees Family in 1999 from Michael and Lynn Brooks.
For the past eight years Brooks Insurance Professionals, Inc. has experience growth and financial stability in the insurance industry.
At the same time, Corlis and Datha and family have been blessed to serve as local part time ministers for Trinity United Methodist Church in Shelbyville, Indiana. Both opportunities to serve continue to be a rewarding experience. In January of 2007, the Dees-Taylor Family purchased Crockett Insurance Agency, Inc. in Indianapolis, Indiana. Then in January of 2008 the Nolley Insurance Agency was purchased. Although this transition has been challenging, they have been able to experience both growth and financial stability.
The future of SMI, Inc. which is the parent corporation has a promising forecast. Brooks Insurance Professionals, Inc., Crockett Insurance Agency, and Nolley Insurance Agency combined markets cover the entire spectrum of insurance services and products to fit your needs.
